2016

The Bush School purchased the Methow Campus, a twenty-acre educational facility in Mazma, WA. With this acquisition, the Bush campus now extends beyond the urban landscape of Seattle across the Cascade mountains. This desire to be in nature stems all the way back to Helen Bush and her philosophy and drive to incorporate natural surroundings into education. The Methow Campus also brings new programs and experiences for experiential education, another foundational block from Mrs. Bush.

“It reminds us how important it is to protect and preserve the land and those that inhabit it. To be still, to be quiet, to be reflective, and to be purposeful brings us closer to the power of nature and the Methow Campus.” Percy L. Abram, PH.D., Head of School
